Lightnin’ Bar was started in 2023 by four friends with a desire to create a much needed gathering space for the community. Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Elgin, Texas and housed in the original brick and mortar of a true Texas BBQ classic - Southside Market (opened in 1886!) - it has grown to become a gathering place for local artists, musicians, and those just looking for a nice place to sit with a cold beer or classic cocktail. Come enjoy free pool, live music (bring your dancing boots), catch a game on tv (or whatever movie we decide to put on), good company, and the chillest patio. All are welcome.
